Retro locations often feature oranges and yellows to give them that vintage vibe. Wood panelling and wacky wallpaper are staples of these kind of houses, and the above locations make these work to create a stylish, modernist look. H22839's maximalist approach has made it a popular location, and this striking, one-of-a-kind orange room is a must for any autumnal shoot.

This location oozes with New York chiq. The exposed brick and quirky, colourful table lamps give it a retro charm, whilst the red velvet armchairs add a pop of modern colour and style. Where better to sip a pumpkin spiced latte, or something a little stronger?

Of all the autumnal colours, red might be trickiest to style. But when done right, it can be a unique, luxurious addition to a room, giving it a warm and inviting feel. Paired with lighter colours in H23140, it seems a bright space to spend those early autumn evenings, and when darker colours are added in H22641, it can bring character and class to rooms that otherwise might be boxy and bland.
