Sun-Soaked, Continental-Style Locations
Some location houses perfectly capture that summer feeling, with pools, patios and beautiful Mediterranean interiors. But continental paradise doesn't need to be a flight away - from sandstone villas to rustic farmhouses, the European holiday backdrop can be recreated right here in the UK.

In the South of France, la villa typically has a more contemporary look, with open-plan interiors and modern features such as fire pits and bar areas. For something a little more romantic, le mas is a traditional farmhouse, usually built from local stone and surrounded by farmland or vineyards. With tiled roofs and pretty gardens, their interiors are more akin to English cottages, often featuring exposed beams and charming country kitchens which can easily be found amongst our UK locations.

Shell pink, sandy yellow and beautiful tiling can all conjure the image of Amalfi or the Algarve. Pastel colours and natural textures keep the heat at bay, whilst open-plan layouts help to circulate air throughout the house. Porches and loggias not only keep away direct sunlight, but help bridge the gap between indoors an outdoors, providing a shady, breezy area that's perfect for shooting dining and social scenes.
