Extraordinary industrial wind tunnel film location in Hampshire, featuring vast warehouse spaces, monumental aeronautical machinery, brutalist concrete structures, tunnels and atmospheric industrial interiors.
This highly distinctive former aeronautical testing environment offers an extraordinary collection of large-scale industrial spaces and engineering structures. At the heart of the location are its enormous wind-tunnel chambers and associated machinery, including vast circular openings, fan and propeller structures, steel framework and heavy industrial equipment, creating a dramatic setting with an unmistakable scientific and aeronautical character.
The principal warehouse spaces are cavernous in scale, with high roofs, exposed steel trusses, concrete floors and a mixture of concrete, metal and industrial wall finishes. Large areas of open floor space sit alongside raised platforms, gantries, railings, structural steelwork and surviving machinery, providing numerous viewpoints and contrasting industrial backdrops within the same location.
Particularly striking are the monumental wind-tunnel structures, where huge circular chambers and brutalist concrete surfaces create powerful geometric forms. Natural light entering through openings and around the machinery can produce dramatic shafts of light across the interiors, adding to the raw, atmospheric character of the space.
The location also includes tunnels, underground areas, vault-like spaces and bunker-style environments, extending the range of industrial settings beyond the main warehouse and wind-tunnel halls.
With its combination of vast industrial interiors, wind tunnels, aeronautical machinery, brutalist concrete, tunnels and underground spaces, IND-3000 provides an exceptionally unusual industrial film location in Hampshire, particularly suited to productions looking for large-scale engineering, scientific, dystopian, futuristic or atmospheric industrial environments.
