A beautiful rustic barn location just outside the M25.
This lovely barn conversion is nestled in the Surrey countryside and features a blend of period decor and modern design, including a beautiful sitting room with a huge fireplace area and a country-style kitchen.
The barn was formerly the music hall to world-famous cellist, Beatrice Harrison, whose family dedicated their lives to music, and in particular supporting female musicians. The house became a haven for musicians and composers, including Elgar, Delius, Cyril Scott and Gerald Moore.
The garden at the property is typical of a cosy country house - there are beds brimming with flowers, a pretty patio area and a large lawn. It has its own place in history as the garden from which radio listeners heard Beatrice Harrison play her cello whilst nightingales sang, attracted to the sound of the cello from the woods around the house. It was one of the BBC’s earliest outside broadcasts, and was received with enormous enthusiasm.
There is a beautiful grand piano at the location, as well as a large barn space with exposed beams and a pitched roof suitable for events and filming.
