A traditional Country Estate, which lies at the heart of the Northern Lake District, situated on the Western Shore of Derwentwater in a dramatic location surrounded by incredible views of some of the best loved Lakeland fells. Across the estate there have extensive grounds featuring private lake frontage and wooden jetty, woodland, Victorian greenhouses and an award winning café and walled garden (which Beatrix Potter sighted as her inspiration for Mr McGregor's garden in a letter to her publishers) The Estate is also home to number of holiday accommodation, including a luxurious Boathouse, a large Victorian six bedroom, six bathroom house. Central to the Estate is a grand grade II listed Victorian manor house, built in 1873 by the prominent Victorian architect Alfred Waterhouse.
